Arc0 vs Paragon.
Considering Arc0 as a Paragon alternative? A like-for-like read on pricing, branding, token access and agent support, including where Paragon's compliance track record and self-hosting option still make it the better choice.
Arc0 and Paragon, line by line.
| Item | ARC0 | PARAGON |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing unit | Per active user, pooling 5,000 calls/mo per user across the workspace | Per connected user (tenant org); exact unit economics are not published |
| Entry pricing | Free (Build) for up to 100 active production users, unlimited development mode; Launch is $99/mo including 1,000 users | Free trial signup only; both Pro and Enterprise require a sales quote with no listed price |
| Token export | Tokens exportable by API at any time; tokens from the customer's own OAuth apps keep working after export | Proxy API injects stored credentials into provider calls on the app's behalf; no documented endpoint exports a raw OAuth token |
| Your users' consent screen | Customer's logo on every plan including free; own domain and own OAuth apps on paid plans | Whitelabeled Connect Portal UI starts on the paid Pro tier |
| Deployment / self-host | Cloud only; Scale plan adds EU hosting and dedicated hosting | Shared cloud on Pro; self-hosting and forward-deploy into the customer's own infrastructure on Enterprise |
| Catalog | 1,500+ apps; vendors' official MCP servers can sit behind Arc0 auth | Pre-built connectors across roughly 19 categories plus a custom-integration builder; no total catalog count published |
| Audit log | Every call logged on every plan including free; retention 7/30/90 days by tier; OpenTelemetry export on paid plans | Event logs API and dashboard included across plans; retention period not published |
| Focus / ownership | Independent, focused only on agent connectivity; operated by Exa Labs LLC | Independent company built as an embedded iPaaS for SaaS products, now also positioning ActionKit for AI agents |
Where Paragon is the better choice.
SOC 2 Type II since January 2024, HIPAA compliance with a BAA for enterprise customers, and an actual self-host/forward-deploy option for running Paragon inside the customer's own infrastructure.
Enterprise plans include SAML-based SSO today. Arc0 lists SSO/SCIM as a roadmap item, not yet available.
Managed Sync (data sync and RAG ingestion) and Workflows (webhook, CRON and event-driven automation with retries and replay) sit alongside ActionKit, covering more than agent actions alone.
What Arc0 does differently.
Arc0 publishes exact per-user and per-call prices and locks them for 12 months. Paragon's Pro and Enterprise tiers both require a sales quote with no listed price.
Arc0 lets a tenant export its stored tokens by API at any time. Paragon's Proxy API is built so the calling app never receives the third-party OAuth token directly, and its published docs do not show a token-export endpoint.
Arc0 puts the customer's logo on Arc0 Connect on every plan, including free. Paragon's whitelabeled Connect Portal is a paid, Pro-tier feature.
Arc0's Build plan is free for up to 100 active users in production, with unlimited development mode. Paragon's public free option is a trial signup with no published production limit.
Arc0 is built only around agent access to user-approved actions through one MCP endpoint, SDK or REST proxy. Paragon's agent story (ActionKit) is one of four products alongside Connect Portal, Managed Sync and Workflows, originally built for embedding integrations into a SaaS product.
Free migration from Paragon.
An engineer moves you over at no charge, on any plan. You keep shipping while we do the work, and nothing changes for your users until you say so.
- 01We map itEvery app, action and auth config your agent uses in Paragon, matched to Arc0.
- 02We set it upYour OAuth apps registered, Arc0 Connect in your brand, and your first policies written with you.
- 03We move your usersTokens imported wherever Paragon lets you export them, and reconnects staged in-product where it doesn’t.
What moving from Paragon looks like.
Paragon and Arc0 both sit between your product and third-party APIs, but Paragon was built first for embedding integrations into a SaaS product, with agent support added later as one of four modules.
Connections
Paragon's Proxy API forwards a connected user's request to the provider and injects the stored credential itself; there is no documented endpoint for pulling out a raw OAuth token. Moving to Arc0 means your users reconnect once through Arc0's branded consent flow, and from then on you can export their tokens by API whenever you need to.
Your agent
ActionKit already gives agents 1,000+ actions over one API or MCP endpoint, so the shape of agent access is similar. The difference is what surrounds it: Arc0 grades every action read, write or destructive with allow/ask/deny rules and an optional fail-closed setting, and logs every call on every plan including free.
Questions, answered.
Is Arc0 a good Paragon alternative?
For a product whose only job is letting agents act in a user's connected apps, yes: Arc0 gives you one MCP endpoint, published pricing, and token export from day one. If you need Paragon's broader embedded-iPaaS feature set (Managed Sync, Workflows, an already-shipped SSO, or self-hosted deployment today), Paragon is still the better fit.
Does Arc0 support AI agents the way Paragon's ActionKit does?
Both expose third-party actions to agents over an API or MCP endpoint. Arc0's version is scoped to what the end user approved and grades each action read, write or destructive with allow/ask/deny rules; ActionKit exposes 1,000+ actions across Paragon's catalog through one API/MCP connection.
How do Arc0 and Paragon compare on compliance and self-hosting?
Both hold SOC 2 Type II and sign a DPA. Paragon has held its report since January 2024 and is HIPAA compliant with a BAA for enterprise customers, and it offers true self-hosting and forward-deploy into a customer's own infrastructure. Arc0's Scale plan adds EU hosting and dedicated hosting but not self-host, and SSO/SCIM are still on Arc0's roadmap.
Can I export tokens or connections from Paragon to Arc0?
Not directly. Paragon's API is built around a proxy model that does not hand your app the provider's OAuth token, so there is nothing to export. Plan on having your users reconnect once through Arc0 Connect; every connection made through Arc0 can be exported by API from then on.
